Human Klotho ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Klotho in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for Klotho. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Klotho Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is then used to visualise the reaction, producing a coloured product whose intensity is proportional to the amount of Klotho captured. Absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.058 ng/ml and a range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Validation has been performed with serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma, with recovery and dilution linearity data supplied across these sample types. Components supplied include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
