Human Interleukin-4 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com as part of their Assays and Kits range, this sandwich ELISA (sELISA) enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interleukin-4 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a quantitative sandwich immunoassay format on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips), with detection performed on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Standards or samples are incubated with a biotin-conjugated monoclonal antibody specific for IL-4, followed by Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) and a TMB substrate solution. The enzyme–substrate reaction is terminated with sulphuric acid and the colour change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

The kit shows no cross-reactivity with other cytokines tested and recognizes both natural and recombinant human IL-4. It has a sensitivity of < 6.6 pg/ml and an assay range of 6.6–1000 pg/ml, and is shipped and stored at 4 °C.
