Human Interferon-gamma ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, the Human Interferon-gamma ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Interferon-Gamma in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, and other biological fluids. The assay applies a quantitative sandwich immunoassay technique using a pre-coated microplate bound with a monoclonal antibody specific for IFN-γ. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate wells and incubated, after which a standardized preparation of horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated monoclonal antibody specific for IFN-γ is added to sandwich the immobilized analyte. Following a second incubation and wash, a TMB (3,3',5,5' tetramethyl-benzidine) substrate solution is added, the enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution, and the resulting colour change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 2nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit recognizes both natural and recombinant human IFN-γ and has shown no detectable cross-reactivity with human SAA, EGF, IL-6, IL-8, IL-16, M-CSF, GM-CSF, TGF-ß1, RANTES, FGF, MIP-1a, CRP, or EPO. The product range is 7.5-1600 pg/ml with a sensitivity of < 7.5 pg/ml.

Two calibration diluents are included: Calibrator Diluent I for serum/plasma testing and Calibrator Diluent II for cell culture supernatant/urine testing, with the provided standard diluted 2-fold with the appropriate diluent and assayed alongside the samples.
