A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human CRIM1 (Cysteine Rich Transmembrane BMP Regulator 1) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip configuration, with Biotinylated Anti-CRIM1 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate detection visualised by TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration calculated by reference to a standard curve. Reported sensitivity is <0.133 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Storage instructions call for kit components at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
Sample recovery was determined as follows: serum (n=5) 80%-102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5) 81%-100% (average 90%), and heparin plasma (n=5) 80%-89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions returned the following ranges: serum 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%; EDTA plasma 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%; heparin plasma 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%.
