Human Chorionic Gonadotropin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this in vitro quantitative immunoassay is designed for the measurement of human Chorionic Gonadotropin. The kit employs a sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips), and the assay can be completed in 4h 30m. The product range is 78.1-5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 28 pg/ml.

The assay uses an antibody specific for Chorionic Gonadotropin pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added and the target is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, Biotinylated Anti-Chorionic Gonadotropin Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Chorionic Gonadotropin captured, and concentration is calculated from the O.D. absorbance read at 450nm against a standard curve.

Suitable sample types include serum, plasma, urine, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Reported recovery (n=5) is 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity (n=5) for serum spans 87-91% at 1:2, 87-107% at 1:4, 74-101% at 1:8 and 92-97% at 1:16; for EDTA plasma 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108%; and for heparin plasma 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91%.
