HOT FIREPol® Probe Universal qPCR Mix

A 5x concentrated, ready-to-use quantitative PCR master mix from Solis BioDyne optimized for probe-based detection on standard thermal cycling instruments. Each pack contains five 1 ml tubes supplying 1250 reactions of 20 uL, with the pre-mixed solution combining FIREPol hot-start DNA polymerase, dNTPs, MgCl2, and a proprietary buffer so laboratories add only their sequence-specific probe and template.

The formulation is compatible with TaqMan-style hydrolysis probes and supports both singleplex and duplex assays, delivering reproducible Ct values and linear performance across gene expression analysis, pathogen detection, SNP genotyping, and viral load quantification. A typical protocol uses a 95°C initial activation (2-15 minutes), followed by 35-40 cycles of denaturation at 95°C and combined annealing/extension at 60°C, fitting routine three-step or fast two-step programs on most real-time cyclers.

Supplied in single-use aliquot-friendly vials to limit contamination, the mix should be stored at -20°C and protected from light; aliquoting after first thaw minimizes repeated freeze-thaw cycles and preserves enzymatic activity.
