HOT FIREPol® Multiplex qPCR Mix

Manufactured by Solis BioDyne, this 5x probe-based qPCR master mix is optimized for amplifying up to four targets in a single real-time quantitative PCR reaction. The mix contains all components necessary to perform qPCR, with the exception of primers, probes, and template, and includes HOT FIREPol® DNA Polymerase, optimized buffer components, ultrapure dNTPs, and MgCl2.

The formulation is designed for DNA hydrolysis probe–based assays relying on 5' flap endonuclease activity. The polymerase is activated by a 10-minute incubation at 95 °C, which helps suppress extension of non-specifically annealed primers and primer-dimers formed during reaction setup. Each 1× PCR solution contains 3 mM MgCl2, and the dNTPs include dUTP to permit optional UNG treatment for carryover contamination prevention. UNG enzyme is not supplied with the mix and must be purchased separately.

Typical applications include detection and quantification of DNA and cDNA targets, gene expression profiling, microbial detection, and viral load determination. Routine storage is recommended at –18 °C to –28 °C, and the product tolerates shipping and temporary storage for up to one month at room temperature. Reaction setup at room temperature is advised.
