Sourced exclusively from cattle raised in New Zealand, this fetal bovine serum (FBS) supports robust growth of mammalian cells in culture. New Zealand-origin serum carries a negligible risk of BSE contamination, making it a preferred option for sensitive cell lines, vaccine production, and biopharmaceutical workflows.

The 500 mL bottle is triple 0.1 µm filtered and tested for endotoxin and hemoglobin levels. STEMCELL Technologies performs additional mycoplasma screening and biochemical profiling on each lot to ensure batch-to-batch consistency for downstream applications such as stem cell maintenance, hybridoma production, and routine adherent and suspension cell culture.

Store frozen at -20°C for long-term stability; once thawed, keep refrigerated and use within 4-6 weeks. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by aliquoting into single-use volumes.
