EasySep EasyStand

A linkable accessory from STEMCELL Technologies designed to hold an EasySep™ Magnet during magnetic cell separation. Each unit connects with others of the same type, allowing the simultaneous processing of up to 6 samples. After each round of magnetic separation, the supernatants from all samples are poured off at once into receiving tubes.

Each unit holds a single EasySep™ Magnet and is used with 14 mL round-bottom tubes (without caps) seated in the integrated tube stand. 14 mL polystyrene round-bottom tubes are recommended. A handle can be fitted to either the left or right side of the unit, and additional units can be linked together through the magnet platforms and base plates using the supplied hex key and socket screws. During the pour-off step, the handle is gripped and tilted so that the magnets move into the inverted position; the magnets and tubes are held inverted for 2 - 3 seconds before being returned upright.

The stand is stored at 15 - 25°C. After use, it and the magnets are wiped clean with distilled water and then alcohol, and can be disinfected with 10% diluted household bleach followed by a water-dampened cloth; magnets should not be submerged in liquid. It is manufactured under a quality management system certified to ISO 13485 and is for research use only, not intended for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic uses unless otherwise stated.
