According to the manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet, this product is not classified as hazardous under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) and is not a hazardous substance or mixture according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS). The product is stable under normal conditions, and the manufacturer reports that 0% of the mixture consists of ingredient(s) of unknown toxicity.

STEMCELL Technologies recommends supplementing this medium with 10% fetal bovine serum for use in cell culture applications. The product is not regulated for transport under DOT, TDG, MEX, ICAO, IATA, IMDG, RID, ADR, or ADN classifications.
