Culture Tubes, 5 mL, Cap, 500 Tubes

These sterile polypropylene round-bottom tubes from STEMCELL Technologies are designed for a wide variety of sample preparation, storage, and centrifugation tasks. They are recommended for select protocols in cell isolation, flow cytometry, and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS).

Applications include cell separation, dilution of samples or solutions, sample storage, and liquid handling. The tubes feature a nominal volume of 5 mL with no graduations and dimensions of 12 x 76 mm (outer diameter x height). They can withstand centrifugal forces up to 3000 x g. A dual-position snap cap provides either a tight seal or a loose position for sterile aerobic culture.

Constructed of polypropylene meeting USP Class VI requirements, with a low-density polyethylene cap, the tubes are RNase/DNase-free and non-pyrogenic. All material resins are qualified using USP and/or ISO 10993 standards for cytotoxicity and have been shown to be non-toxic. Sterilized by gamma irradiation, the tubes should be stored at 15 - 25 °C and remain stable until the expiry date on the manufacturer label. Direct exposure to sunlight and high atmospheric humidity should be avoided, as these conditions may impact the product's packaging over time. For research use only.
