ClonaCell-CHO AOF Supplement

STEMCELL Technologies offers this animal origin-free, serum-free, L-glutamine-free, and phenol red-free 40X culture supplement for cloning during Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell line development. It is added to a base medium to increase cloning efficiency and promote robust outgrowth of CHO cells in protein-free liquid or semi-solid cell culture media.

The supplement contains recombinant proteins and chemically defined components. It does not contain animal-derived components, serum, hydrolysates, L-glutamine, phenol red, or selection agents, and is formulated with no animal-derived raw materials to the secondary level of manufacturing. It offers improved imaging clarity compared to the related ACF supplement. The recommended working dilution is 1 in 40, added to a base medium suitable for CHO cell culture shortly before use for optimal performance. The complete medium may be stored at 2 - 8°C for up to 1 week before use. Titration may be required to determine the optimal dilution for specific cells and applications.

The product should be stored at 2 - 8°C and protected from light; do not freeze. It is stable until the expiry date on the label. Minimal precipitate may form over time but does not affect performance. According to the manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet, the liquid is clear and is not classified as hazardous under GHS.
