ClonaCell-CHO ACF Medium

A serum-free, animal component-free (ACF) cell culture medium developed by STEMCELL Technologies for single-cell cloning and clonal expansion of Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cell lines. This chemically defined formulation supports robust colony formation from low-density seeding, enabling researchers to isolate stable, high-yield clones expressing recombinant proteins, monoclonal antibodies, or other biotherapeutics. The ACF designation means no animal-derived materials are present, which reduces the risk of adventitious agent contamination and supports regulatory documentation for cell culture processes upstream of clinical or commercial biomanufacturing. Users apply the medium in static or agitated suspension workflows, where it maintains high viability during limiting-dilution cloning and selection workflows. The liquid format is supplied in a bottle and should be stored refrigerated, protected from light, with a shelf life consistent with most liquid CHO media. The medium is compatible with CHO-K1, CHO-S, CHO DG44, and GS-CHO host lines, streamlining the monoclonal selection step in cell line development pipelines.
