Cell Lifter, Flat Blade and Narrow Blade

A double-ended harvesting tool from STEMCELL Technologies that combines two blade geometries on a single polystyrene handle, letting researchers switch between broad scraping and precise cell detachment without swapping instruments during a workflow.

The flat, wide blade covers the floor of standard tissue culture vessels efficiently during cell harvest, gathering confluent monolayers from 6-well, 12-well, and 10 cm dish formats. The narrow blade on the opposite end reaches into flask necks, corner regions of multi-well plates, and tight culture geometries where wider scrapers cannot fit, supporting reproducible cell recovery from smaller surface areas.

Each lifter is sterile, individually wrapped, and intended as a single use item to help reduce the risk of cross-contamination between cultures. The handle geometry provides adequate leverage during scraping while keeping hands clear of the medium. Researchers commonly use these lifters after enzymatic detachment protocols, or as a primary mechanical dislodgement tool in subculture, immunofluorescence harvesting, or downstream flow cytometry workflows where intact single-cell suspensions are required.

Useful in research cell culture applications including maintenance of established lines and primary cell isolations from research samples.
