Alpha MEM with Nucleosides, 500mL

A basal cell culture medium from STEMCELL Technologies designed to support applications such as the growth of HeLa cells. It is Minimum Essential Medium Eagle — alpha modification (Alpha MEM) — supplied with nucleosides, and is referenced on the manufacturer's product page alongside the nucleoside-free Alpha MEM variant and MEM with Earle's salts and non-essential amino acids (NEAA).

According to the manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet, the product is a clear, red liquid intended as a laboratory reagent and is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture under the GHS. It is stable under normal conditions, and the SDS recommends keeping containers tightly closed in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated place. The product is not regulated for transport by DOT, TDG, MEX, ICAO (air), IATA, IMDG, RID, ADR, or ADN. The manufacturer's Quality Management System is certified to ISO 13485.

The product is for research use only and is not intended for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic uses unless otherwise stated. First-aid measures listed in the SDS include rinsing eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, washing skin with soap and water, moving to fresh air after inhalation, and rinsing the mouth and drinking plenty of water after ingestion.
