AggreWell 800 24-well, 5pk

Manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, these AggreWell 800 24-well microwell culture plates feature standardized arrays of 800 μm microwells designed for the reproducible production of embryoid bodies (EBs) and spheroids. Each well contains approximately 300 microwells with a frusto-pyramidal geometry (800 μm width, 400 μm depth), enabling the generation of uniformly sized aggregates whose size can be controlled by adjusting input cell density.

The plates are constructed from medical-grade PMMA (refractive index 1.49), are electron-beam irradiated for sterility, and conform to ANSI/SLAS 1,2,3,4-2004 standards. They are rated for operating conditions between -20°C and 55°C, and should be stored at room temperature (15 - 25°C) away from direct sunlight, where they remain stable for 5 years from the date of manufacture. Each well supports a working volume of 500 μL to 2000 μL, with a recommended cell seeding range of 3000 to 20,000 cells per microwell.

According to STEMCELL Technologies, Anti-Adherence Rinsing Solution is required during plate preparation to prevent cell adhesion and promote efficient aggregate formation, with an expected yield of approximately 300 EBs or spheroids per well. The plates should not be exposed to organic solvents such as ethanol or isopropanol. The product is intended for research use only and is not for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic uses.
