24.6 mm Cell Culture Inserts, 12 Inserts

These permeable cell culture inserts from STEMCELL Technologies support the growth of both anchorage-dependent and anchorage-independent cells, including those that are fed at the basolateral surface or in co-culture systems. The CELLTREAT® 0.4 μm polyethylene membrane inserts feature a pore density of 2 x 10^6 pores/cm² and a 24.6 mm insert size. They are recommended for culturing airway epithelial cells at the air-liquid interface and can be used in studies related to infectious and genetic disease modeling, drug discovery, toxicity testing, and epithelial cell biology.

The plate and lid are constructed from polystyrene, while the membrane is transparent polyethylene; both materials meet USP, Class VI requirements. The inserts are RNase/DNase-free, non-pyrogenic, and sterilized by gamma irradiation. All material resins have been qualified using USP and/or ISO 10993 standards for cytotoxicity and shown to be non-toxic. The plate conforms to a standard plate footprint, and the insert conforms to standard well dimensions of a 6-well plate. Storage is at 15 - 25°C, and the product remains stable until the expiry date (EXP) on the label.

This product has been verified for use with PneumaCult™-Ex Plus Medium, PneumaCult™-ALI Medium, and IntestiCult™ Organoid Differentiation Medium (Human). Applications include air-liquid interface (ALI) culture, anchorage-dependent and anchorage-independent cell culture, basolateral feed cell culture, and co-culture systems. The inserts are intended for research use only and not for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic uses unless otherwise stated.
