QIAGEN waste reservoir built for use with automated Primary Sample Technology instruments performing nucleic acid preparation. This molded polypropylene container collects liquid effluent, buffer overflow, and reaction byproducts generated during sample processing runs, keeping the host system draining properly between maintenance cycles. The chemical-resistant body tolerates contact with chaotropic lysis buffers, guanidine salts, and ethanol wash solutions typical of column-based extraction kits. A threaded cap with integrated sealing gasket closes the vessel securely, limiting aerosol escape during transfer of used fluid to a designated biohazard waste stream and supporting compliance with laboratory biosafety procedures. The wide-mouth opening simplifies emptying and surface decontamination between batches.

Suitable as a direct-fit replacement for the OEM reservoir originally supplied with QIAGEN benchtop automation in the Primary Sample Technology portfolio. Store at room temperature, typically 15-30°C, in a dry location away from direct sunlight. Single-use disposable; replace according to run volume, visible fluid level, or scheduled preventive maintenance. Ships individually packaged as a single unit.
