The service item launches workflows that include incoming RNA quality control, assessment of total RNA purity, concentration and integrity, sequencing library preparation, sequencing on the Illumina platform, and data extraction, analysis and summarization.

In the associated research context, the customer laboratory isolates exosomes from plasma, which are then denatured in Trizol solution to inactivate HIV prior to shipment for downstream processing. Deliverables under the broader workflow include a sample QC report and data delivered in Fastaq format, with miRNA sequencing and analysis performed for biomarker and novel miRNA identification in both host and virus.
