QIAvac Luer Adaptor Set (6)

QIAGEN's secondary sample technology accessory converts a QIAvac 6S manifold top plate into a parallel processing station for up to 24 silica-membrane spin columns at once. The pack contains 6 rigid polymer adapters, each fitted with 4 luer connectors, plus 24 sealing plugs for any unused port during a run.

Built to pair directly with the outlet nozzles of QIAprep, QIAquick, MinElute, and RNeasy spin columns, each adapter slides into a slot on the manifold so wash and elution buffers can be drawn through the membrane under vacuum instead of centrifugation. When combined with VacConnectors, the same set also accommodates QIAamp mini spin columns for vacuum-driven DNA purification protocols.

The luer geometry matches the standard 6% taper found on disposable syringes and pump tubing, so a 20 ml syringe or a peristaltic line can be connected downstream of the manifold for buffer delivery. Adapters are single-use consumables; laboratories routinely keep a fresh unit on hand between sample batches to prevent cross-contamination of eluates, and the rigid polymer tolerates repeated exposure to guanidine hydrochloride and ethanol wash buffers used in standard nucleic acid cleanup workflows.

Store the adapters sealed in their original pouch at room temperature, away from solvent vapors; shelf life is printed on the kit box. The set is intended for research use only and serves as a practical add-on for any laboratory already running vacuum-based extraction or purification on a QIAvac manifold.
