QIAvac 24 Plus

QIAGEN offers a vacuum manifold for fast and efficient vacuum-driven processing of up to 24 spin columns in parallel. Samples and wash solutions are drawn through column membranes by vacuum instead of centrifugation, providing greater speed and reduced hands-on time in nucleic acid purification procedures. QIAprep, QIAquick, MinElute, and RNeasy spin columns are inserted directly into the luer slots of the manifold.

For QIAamp spin columns, the QIAvac 24 Plus is used together with disposable VacConnectors, which prevent direct contact between the column and the manifold to avoid cross-contamination between samples. VacValves ensure constant vacuum pressure and allow individual control when flow rates differ between samples. For QIAamp Midi and Maxi spin columns, the QIAvac Connecting System is required. Compatible kits include the QIAprep Spin Miniprep Kit, QIAquick PCR Purification Kit, MinElute PCR Purification Kit, MinElute Gel Extraction Kit, MinElute Reaction Cleanup Kit, QIAquick Gel Extraction Kit, QIAquick Nucleotide Removal Kit, RNeasy Mini Kit, QIAamp Viral RNA Mini Kit, QIAamp DSP Virus Kit, QIAamp DNA Blood Mini Kit, QIAamp DNA Mini Kit, QIAamp DSP DNA Blood Mini Kit, and QIAamp Circulating Nucleic Acid Kit.

The manifold is shipped at room temperature (15-25°C) and should be stored dry and clean at room temperature. For non-DSP QIAamp Mini and QIAamp MinElute processing, a vacuum pump capable of producing a vacuum of at least 900 mbar is required. The system is intended for vacuum purification using QIAGEN spin kits and is ideally suited to laboratory research applications.
