ThawSTAR Barrier Bags, 50 mL, 25/pack

Barrier sleeves supplied by STEMCELL Technologies provide an aseptic containment layer for cryogenic vials processed in the ThawSTAR automated cell thawing instrument. Each single-use pouch is sized to fit a standard 50 mL conical vial holding frozen cell suspensions such as induced pluripotent stem cells, hematopoietic progenitors, T cells, and other cryopreserved research samples. The transparent film transmits heat efficiently to the vial, supporting uniform thaw profiles and reproducible cell recovery without direct handling by the operator. The format reduces splash and contact contamination when loading vials into the warming chamber and is compatible with ThawSTAR CFT2 and similar platforms from STEMCELL Technologies.

Each pack contains 25 single use barrier bags, intended for research use only in cell therapy development, regenerative medicine workflows, and standard immunology and stem cell laboratories. The single use pouch design simplifies sample traceability and helps maintain aseptic technique when thawing banked or patient-derived material, particularly during in vitro culture startup following cryopreservation. Bags are discarded after one thaw cycle, eliminating carryover between samples and reducing cleaning burden on the host instrument.
