Description

This small molecule from STEMCELL Technologies is a selective, ATP-competitive inhibitor of MET receptor tyrosine kinase, with an IC₅₀ of 20 nM. It shows selectivity towards MET over other receptor tyrosine kinases, exhibiting IC₅₀ values of 1.3 μM and 9.7 μM for kinase insert domain receptor (KDR) and fibroblast growth factor receptor-1 (FGFR1), respectively. The inhibitor retains activity against certain MET mutants, including H1112Y and M1268T.

Also known as Met Kinase Inhibitor, the compound has the chemical formula C₂₈H₃₀ClN₅O₄S, a molecular weight of 568.1 g/mol, and is supplied as a crystalline solid with a purity of ≥ 95% (CAS Number: 658084-23-2). It acts on the HGF pathway with MET as its target.

In published cancer research, the compound has been shown to induce apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in TPR-MET-transformed mouse pre-B (Ba/F3) cells, inhibit cell viability and motility of human head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cell lines in vitro, and inhibit cell viability of c-MET-expressing human non-small cell lung carcinoma cell lines in vitro. The product is stable for 12 months from receipt when stored at -20°C and protected from prolonged light exposure, and is soluble in DMSO at ≤ 15 mM and in absolute ethanol at ≤ 0.4 mM.
