STEMvision Mouse M3534 Assay

From STEMCELL Technologies, the Mouse M3534 Assay is an Analysis Package for the STEMvision™ instrument and software platform, developed specifically to image and count myeloid progenitor colonies in mouse bone marrow colony-forming unit (CFU) assays cultured in M3534 medium. It is part of a system designed for hematopoietic CFU assays using MethoCult™ media in combination with meniscus-free SmartDish™ cultureware, and is intended for labs counting myeloid colonies only in mouse BM cultures (alongside companion packages for total myeloid and erythroid colonies in M3434 and for erythroid-only colonies in M3436).

The Analysis Package replaces the need to manually count colonies using a microscope. Standardized algorithms are used to identify and score colonies consistently, helping to reduce the variation that can arise from different individuals counting and scoring the same assay manually. For mouse myeloid progenitor cells plated in M3534, the manufacturer recommends counting assays between 10 and 12 days of culture.

Selection of at least one Analysis Package is required at the time of STEMvision™ instrument purchase, and additional packages can be acquired separately for laboratories that already own a STEMvision™ system. Instrument service and support options are also available from STEMCELL Technologies.
