Sinomenine (HCl), 500 mg

Sinomenine is a natural plant alkaloid supplied by STEMCELL Technologies as the hydrochloride salt of the molecule. It is commonly used in research to alleviate inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis. The compound impairs signaling through Nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) and has been reported to enhance the bioavailability of some compounds, at least in part through inhibition of drug export by transporters such as P-glycoprotein.

Provided as a crystalline solid, the product has a purity of ≥ 98%. Its chemical name is 9-alpha,13-alpha,14-alpha-Morphinan-6-one,7,8-didehydro-3,7-dimethoxy-4-hydroxy-17-methyl-,hydrochloride, with the molecular formula C19H23NO4 · HCl and a molecular weight of 365.9 g/mol.
