PyroMark Q48 Discs (50)

These specialized discs from QIAGEN are designed for use with the PyroMark Q48 Autoprep instrument, automating both template preparation and Pyrosequencing without manual user interaction. The system uses three cartridges, each with four reservoirs, to supply reagents, nucleotides, sequencing primers and buffers. Once samples, magnetic beads and reagents are loaded, all buffers are efficiently removed during the run, eliminating the risk of cross-contamination between wells of the same disc or between successive discs.

The PyroMark Q48 Autoprep is a compact benchtop instrument controlled by intuitive software with a large touchscreen, integrating template preparation directly into the Pyrosequencing workflow. It doubles the throughput of the PyroMark Q24 Advanced while preserving improved performance, supporting functional studies as well as verification of large numbers of samples from NGS and array experiments. Throughput is further increased by Multiple Primer Dispensation (MPD), which can expand automated sequencing primer dispensation by a factor of four or more, enabling twelve or more sequencing primers per run in a fully automated workflow.

Updated chemistry and instrument algorithms reduce background peaks and improve read length and accuracy in base calling, mutation analysis and methylation quantification. Highly accurate read lengths of 140 or more bases can be obtained in a single reaction, depending on the sequence analyzed. The platform supports quantitative analysis at consecutive CpG and CpN sites for DNA methylation studies, as well as SNP and mutation assays, with previously designed Pyrosequencing assays compatible across the PyroMark platform range.
