PyroMark Q24 Vacuum Prep Troughs (12)

QIAGEN vacuum prep troughs deliver the reagent reservoirs that the PyroMark Q24 Vacuum Workstation draws on when preparing bead-immobilized, single-stranded DNA templates for pyrosequencing on the PyroMark Q24 instrument. The pack of 12 disposable troughs is loaded into the workstation to hold denaturation solution, wash buffer, 70% ethanol, and annealing buffer during the vacuum-based template cleanup cycle that follows bisulfite conversion.

During a run, the workstation's vacuum tool head aspirates the streptavidin-coated bead-bound template through each reagent bath in sequence, separating strands and conditioning the single-stranded PCR product before it is dispensed into the PyroMark Q24 Plate wells. Replacing the troughs between runs prevents cross-contamination and keeps reagent carryover to a minimum, and the single-use format eliminates the need for cleaning between batches.

By supporting clean template preparation, these consumables enable downstream quantitative applications including CpG methylation quantification, SNP genotyping, mutation detection, and allele frequency analysis, all of which are read directly from the resulting pyrogram traces generated by the PyroMark Q24 reader.
