MethoCult GF H4534, Starter Kit

A complete starter kit from STEMCELL Technologies (MethoCult brand) formulated for colony-forming unit (CFU) assays using human cells. This methylcellulose-based medium is supplied with recombinant cytokines and is prepared without erythropoietin (EPO), and is recommended for use in the initial establishment of assays for assessing human hematopoietic progenitor cells.

The medium supports the growth of clonogenic hematopoietic progenitor cells from human bone marrow, peripheral blood, cord blood, leukapheresis products, and purified progenitor-enriched cells, and is suited to the detection of granulocyte-macrophage progenitor colonies, including CFU-GM, CFU-G, and CFU-M. The kit is also indicated for non-human primate samples.

Classified as a specialized semi-solid medium for the culture of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, the product is intended for cell culture, colony assay, and functional assay workflows within the stem cell biology research area.
