STEMCELL Technologies supplies this cell-permeable phenyl-imidazolosulfonamide compound as a small-molecule inhibitor of the SCF/KIT pathway, also referred to as c-Kit inhibitor II. The product is provided as a crystalline solid with a purity of ≥ 95% and has the chemical formula C₁₉H₂₁N₃O₂S with a molecular weight of 355.5 g/mol (CAS 945526-44-3).

The inhibitor blocks SCF-induced KIT phosphorylation and downstream ERK phosphorylation at a concentration of 1–5 µM in 501mel melanoma cells (Na et al., 2007). In published cancer research applications, the compound caused a significant decrease in blood vessel density in human lung adenocarcinoma (A549) cells irradiated with X-rays at 6 Gy (Kamlah et al., 2011) and reduced cell viability and ERK1/2 phosphorylation in acute myeloid leukemia (AML)-derived cell lines (Kon et al., 2013).

Solubility is ≤ 70 mM in DMSO and ≤ 5.6 mM in absolute ethanol, with low solubility in aqueous media. Stock solutions should be prepared fresh in DMSO, with final DMSO concentration kept below 0.1% to avoid potential cell toxicity. The solid product is stable at -20°C as supplied and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light.
