I-BET151, 50 mg

A small molecule bromodomain and extra terminal (BET) family inhibitor supplied by STEMCELL Technologies. The compound inhibits BRD2, BRD3, and BRD4, which are BET proteins that recognize acetylated lysine residues via their two bromodomains.

Also known as GSK1210151A, it has the chemical name 7-(3,5-dimethyl-1,2-oxazol-4-yl)-8-methoxy-1-[(1R)-1-pyridin-2-ylethyl]-3H-imidazo[4,5-c]quinolin-2-one (CAS 1300031-49-5; molecular formula C₂₃H₂₁N₅O₃; molecular weight 415.5 g/mol) and is supplied as a crystalline solid with a purity of ≥ 98%. Reported solubility limits are ≤ 12 mM in DMSO, ≤ 2.4 mM in absolute ethanol, and ≤ 20 mM in DMF. The product is stable at -20°C as supplied and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light; for long-term storage, store with a desiccant.

Published applications include enhancement of mouse fibroblast reprogramming to neurons when combined with ISX-9, Forskolin, and CHIR99021, and induction of early cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in human and mouse MLL-fusion leukemia cell lines by blocking transcription of BCL2, C-MYC, and CDK6.
