HemaTox Myeloid Kit

For hematology and disease modeling research, this serum-free system from STEMCELL Technologies supports directed in vitro differentiation of human hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells into myeloid lineage cells, including granulocytes, monocytes, and erythroid precursors. The HemaTox Myeloid Kit combines cytokines and small molecules formulated to drive myeloid commitment from CD34+ cord blood or peripheral blood-derived progenitors.

Applications include studying normal hematopoiesis, modeling myeloid malignancies such as acute myeloid leukemia, evaluating drug responses in patient-derived samples, and generating granulocyte or monocyte populations for downstream functional assays. Supplied as multiple vials of supplement and basal medium, aliquoted components are stored frozen at -20°C and thawed at room temperature before being added at defined stages of the culture workflow.

Researchers typically seed 2 x 10^4 to 1 x 10^5 CD34+ cells per well in a 24-well or 6-well plate format, refreshing media every 2 to 3 days. Output populations can be characterized by flow cytometry using surface markers such as CD15, CD14, CD11b, and CD34, with optional further maturation along granulocytic or monocytic pathways.
