HA-100 (2HCl), 5 mg

A small molecule research reagent from STEMCELL Technologies, designated HA-100, is an isoquinoline compound featuring an added piperazinylsulfonyl group. It is supplied as the dihydrochloride salt and functions as a protein kinase inhibitor, acting on PKA, PKC, and PKG with reported IC₅₀ values of 8 µM, 12 µM, and 4 µM, respectively. The compound less effectively blocks myosin light chain kinase (IC₅₀ = 240 µM).

With the chemical name C-1; 5-(1-piperazinylsulfonyl)-isoquinoline, dihydrochloride, and CAS number 210297-47-5, this reagent has a molecular formula of C₁₃H₁₅N₃O₂S · 2HCl and a molecular weight of 350.3 g/mol. It is provided as a crystalline solid with a purity of ≥ 95%.

HA-100 is stable at -20 °C as supplied and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. It is soluble in DMSO at ≤ 3.1 mM, with low solubility in aqueous media, and is recommended for use as a cell culture supplement diluted into culture medium immediately before use. Published applications include improving single cell survival and supporting high cloning efficiency in human pluripotent stem cell cultures, and increasing human fibroblast reprogramming efficiency when combined with PD0325901, CHIR99021, A83-01, and hLIF.
