HA-100 (2HCl), 25 mg

STEMCELL Technologies offers HA-100 as a small-molecule protein kinase inhibitor supplied as the dihydrochloride salt. The compound is an isoquinoline derivative bearing an added piperazinylsulfonyl group, with the chemical name C-1; 5-(1-piperazinylsulfonyl)-isoquinoline, dihydrochloride (CAS Number 210297-47-5; molecular formula C₁₃H₁₅N₃O₂S · 2HCl; molecular weight 350.3 g/mol). The material is provided as a crystalline solid with a reported purity of ≥ 95%.

HA-100 inhibits protein kinases PKA, PKC, and PKG, with IC₅₀ values of 8, 12, and 4 µM, respectively, and less effectively blocks myosin light chain kinase (IC₅₀ = 240 µM), based on Hagiwara et al. Published work describes its use in human pluripotent stem cell maintenance, where it improves single-cell survival and supports high cloning efficiency (Chen et al., 2011), and in reprogramming, where it increases human fibroblast reprogramming efficiency when combined with PD0325901, CHIR99021, A83-01, and hLIF (Yu et al., 2011).

The product is soluble in DMSO (≤ 3.1 mM) but has low solubility in aqueous media; it should be stored at -20°C as supplied and protected from prolonged exposure to light. For use as a cell culture supplement, stock solution should be diluted into culture medium immediately before use, with final DMSO concentration kept below 0.1% due to potential cell toxicity. It is intended for research use only and is not for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
