Description
These Eppendorf conical tubes have a 50 mL volume and a conical bottom shape. The BioBased tubes are sterile and free from pyrogens, DNase, RNase, and human and bacterial DNA. The tube body is manufactured from polypropylene (USP class 6), while the screw cap is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE). The colourless tubes have a diameter of 28.3 mm and provide no light protection. The BioBased polymer construction is described as substantially and measurably more sustainable without compromising product quality and performance.
The tubes operate across a temperature range of -86 °C to 100 °C and offer centrifugation stability of up to 19,500 × g. This figure was established under test conditions using Rotor FA-45-6-30 in an Eppendorf Centrifuge 5810 R with a saline solution sample (density 1.0 g/mL) at a controlled temperature of 25 °C for 90 minutes. The tubes are not autoclavable.
