CFU Assay Course-UK-Winter

Build hands-on proficiency in hematopoietic colony-forming unit enumeration through this intensive winter training program delivered by STEMCELL Technologies in the United Kingdom. Participants learn standardized protocols for plating cells in MethoCult methylcellulose-based medium and incubating cultures at 37 °C with 5% CO₂, then identifying and scoring erythroid (BFU-E), granulocyte-macrophage (CFU-GM), and multilineage (CFU-GEMM) colonies under inverted microscopy. The 2-day curriculum combines lecture modules on assay theory and experimental design with bench work covering sample preparation, viable cell enumeration, and optimal seeding densities. Trainees receive printed reference materials, a course certificate of completion, and ongoing technical support for clonogenic assay troubleshooting.
