CFU Assay Course-GER-Fall

This hands-on training program from STEMCELL Technologies teaches researchers the principles and practice of the Colony-Forming Unit (CFU) assay, a foundational technique for enumerating hematopoietic progenitor cells in bone marrow, peripheral blood, and cord blood samples. Delivered in German and scheduled for the autumn session, the program covers sample preparation, culture setup in methylcellulose-based media such as MethoCult, incubation at 37°C with 5% CO2, and colony identification and scoring of erythroid, myeloid, and mixed-lineage colonies. Participants gain practical experience plating cells in 35 mm dishes and 6-well plates, diluting samples appropriately, and interpreting results to assess progenitor cell potency. The course combines lectures, live demonstrations, and supervised laboratory work, and serves academic researchers, clinical laboratory staff, and biotech R&D teams working in cell therapy, regenerative medicine, and hematology research. Registration includes course materials and a certificate of completion issued by STEMCELL Technologies.
