According to published research by Kozikowski et al., the inhibitor exhibits picomolar activity at HDAC6 with an IC₅₀ of 0.002 nM. Published cancer research applications include inhibition of growth in several pancreatic cancer cell lines, with IC₅₀ values of 0.1–1 μM, as well as activity against SCCOHT, an ovarian cancer cell line.
