This polyclonal secondary antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit hosts and binds sheep IgG through both heavy (H) and light (L) chain recognition, maximizing epitope coverage in immunoassays. The HRP (Horseradish Peroxidase) conjugate enables sensitive chemiluminescent or TMB-based signal generation in Western blot and ELISA applications. Provided as a 100 µl liquid formulation, it offers broad reactivity across all sheep IgG subclasses and recognizes intact immunoglobulin molecules. Recommended working dilutions generally fall between 1:1,000 and 1:10,000 for Western blot and 1:1,000 to 1:5,000 for ELISA, depending on substrate choice and target abundance. For best results, store refrigerated short-term and avoid freeze-thaw cycles to preserve the enzymatic activity of the HRP label; aliquot upon first use to limit repeated freeze-thaw events. The reagent is intended for research use only and complements workflows involving ovine polyclonal antibodies, sheep-derived primary reagents, or detection of sheep IgG in immunoprecipitation and immunohistochemistry protocols.
