The H+L designation indicates the antibody binds both heavy and light chains of sheep immunoglobulin, providing broad detection of intact IgG molecules in primary-antibody-bound complexes. As a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit, this Antibodies.com secondary recognizes multiple epitopes on the target, increasing signal intensity in standard immunodetection workflows. The unconjugated format offers flexibility for downstream conjugation with fluorophores, horseradish peroxidase, alkaline phosphatase, or biotin depending on the chosen detection method. Suggested working concentrations are 0.5–2 µg/mL for western blot membrane probing and 1–10 µg/mL for immunohistochemistry on tissue sections, with optimization recommended for each system. Supplied as a 100 µg liquid aliquot in vial; store at -20°C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity over the product shelf life.
