This polyclonal secondary antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and specifically binds sheep IgG across both the heavy and light chains, enabling broad detection of intact immunoglobulin molecules in immunoassays. The biotin reporter group permits sensitive signal amplification when paired with streptavidin-HRP, streptavidin-alkaline phosphatase, or fluorescent streptavidin conjugates, making the reagent flexible across chromogenic, chemiluminescent, and immunofluorescence workflows.

Validated for use in Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, and ELISA applications, the antibody is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot in a vial, ready for dilution to working concentration. The H+L specificity ensures recognition of all IgG subclasses, and the reagent is reported to cross-react with IgG from goat due to sequence homology between ovine and caprine immunoglobulins.

For handling, the antibody should be stored refrigerated and protected from light to preserve biotin activity; aliquot upon first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Brief centrifugation before opening clears any aggregated protein that may have formed during transit, ensuring consistent background in downstream assays.
