The Anti-Mouse IgG (H+L) (iFluor 488) secondary antibody from Antibodies.com is a polyclonal reagent raised in goat and purified to recognize both the heavy and light chains of mouse immunoglobulin G, enabling broad detection of mouse primary antibodies regardless of subclass. Conjugation to the iFluor 488 fluorophore delivers a bright green fluorescent signal whose excitation maximum sits near 491 nm with emission near 516 nm, making it spectrally interchangeable with standard FITC and Alexa Fluor 488 filter sets on most flow cytometers and fluorescence microscopes. The Antibodies.com conjugation chemistry is designed to preserve antigen-binding affinity while producing consistent label ratios across lots, supporting reproducible staining intensity in multicolor panels. Supplied as 100 µg of liquid in a single vial, the reagent is validated for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications, including indirect surface staining of mouse antigens on primary cells and cultured lines, as well as labeling of intracellular targets in fixed and permeabilized preparations. For best results, dilute the antibody in an appropriate staining buffer, titrate empirically against your specific primary, and protect the vial from light during use. Store refrigerated at 4 degrees C for short-term use, or aliquot and freeze for longer storage, while minimizing freeze-thaw cycles to maintain fluorophore brightness and conjugate integrity over the shelf life of the reagent.
