With a molecular weight of 551.0 g/mol and a purity of ≥ 98%, the product is provided as a crystalline solid. It is soluble in DMSO at concentrations up to 90 mM. The compound has low solubility in aqueous media, and for cell culture applications the stock solution should be diluted into culture medium immediately before use, with the final DMSO concentration kept at or below 0.1% to avoid potential cell toxicity.

For storage, the product should be kept at -20°C as supplied, protected from prolonged exposure to light, and stored with a desiccant for long-term stability.
