A recombinant Taq DNA polymerase manufactured by QIAGEN using Ultra Clean Production (UCP) to minimize residual bacterial DNA carryover from the host expression system. The UCP treatment makes the enzyme particularly well suited for sensitive PCR workflows where contaminating E. coli DNA could otherwise generate spurious bands or background signal, including pathogen detection assays, bacterial typing, microbiome studies, and template preparation for downstream sequencing. The 1000 U vial is supplied together with a 10x PCR buffer containing Mg2+ and a separate Mg2+-free buffer, supporting standard end-point amplification across a broad range of target sizes. Reaction setups typically use a 20 uL to 50 uL final volume with cycling parameters compatible with conventional Taq protocols, including an initial denaturation step at 94 to 95 degrees C, primer-specific annealing between 55 and 68 degrees C, and extension at 72 degrees C. The enzyme is also tolerant of commonly used additives such as DMSO and betaine for GC-rich templates. For storage, keep the vial frozen at -20 degrees C in a non-frost-free freezer, aliquot upon first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and keep the enzyme on ice during reaction assembly. The product is intended for research use only and supports in vitro molecular biology applications including routine PCR, colony screening, and sequencing template generation.
