Description
These sterile round-bottom polystyrene tubes are supplied by STEMCELL Technologies for a wide range of sample preparation, storage, and centrifugation tasks. Manufactured from clear, transparent polystyrene that is biologically inert, RNase-/DNase-free, and non-pyrogenic, each tube has a nominal volume of 5 mL and outer dimensions of 12 × 75 mm, with no graduations. Tubes are provided without caps and are sterilized by gamma irradiation.
They are required for EasySep™ cell isolation when used with the EasySep™ Magnet or the EasyEights™ EasySep™ Magnet (5 mL side), and they are also suited to flow cytometry, fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS), cell culture, sample storage, and liquid handling. Tubes can be centrifuged at up to 1400 × g. Recommended storage is 15–25°C; for this configuration, stability extends to the expiry date printed on the manufacturer label.
