Culture Tubes, 14 mL, Cap, 500 Tubes

Sterile polystyrene round-bottom tubes from STEMCELL Technologies are designed for a wide variety of sample preparation, storage, and centrifugation tasks in the laboratory. The 14 mL tubes are recommended for EasySep™ cell separation when used with compatible magnets and are also suitable for flow cytometry and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS).

Constructed from polystyrene that meets USP Class VI requirements, the tubes feature dual-position snap caps made of low-density polyethylene. The caps can be sealed tightly or set in a loose position to support sterile aerobic culture. All material resins are qualified under USP and/or ISO 10993 standards for cytotoxicity and have been shown to be non-toxic. The tubes are RNase/DNase-free and non-pyrogenic, with sterility achieved through gamma irradiation.

Practical features include clear graduations marked every 0.5 mL for approximate volume measurement and external dimensions of 18 x 95 mm (diameter × height). The tubes withstand centrifugal forces up to 1400 × g. Applications include cell separation, dilution of samples or solutions, sample storage, centrifugation, and bacterial culture. Storage is recommended at 15–25 °C, away from direct sunlight and high atmospheric humidity, and the product remains stable until the expiry date on the manufacturer label.
