By spinning tubes at high rpm inside a temperature-controlled air chamber, the Rotor-Gene Q 6plex (PRV-1) eliminates well-to-well temperature variation and supports rapid ramp rates for fast PCR protocols.

Six optical channels enable multiplex detection of up to six targets per reaction, making the platform well-suited to infectious disease panels, viral load quantification, and pathogen genotyping workflows where discriminating several genetic markers in a single tube reduces hands-on time and reagent consumption. The rotor accepts 72 individual tubes in a fixed-angle arrangement that minimizes condensation and cross-contamination between wells, a feature especially valuable in clinical and diagnostic laboratories running quantitative PCR at scale.
