TissueLyser LT Adapter, 12-Tube

QIAGEN offers this accessory for the TissueLyser LT bead mill, enabling rapid and efficient disruption of up to 12 biological samples simultaneously. Compatible sample materials include animal and human tissues, plant tissues, bacteria, and yeast, making the system a versatile front-end solution for downstream genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic workflows.

The 12-tube adapter comprises a base, a top that screws onto the base, and an insert equipped with 12 aluminum tube holders. Each holder accommodates a 2 ml sample tube containing sample material and beads. During operation, the TissueLyser LT moves the adapter up and down very rapidly, producing the beating and grinding forces required to disrupt and homogenize samples in a single step.

The adapter should be stored at ambient temperature. Prior to sample disruption, the insert and aluminum tube holders may be placed on dry ice to keep samples cool, though the adapter itself should not be immersed in liquid nitrogen. The TissueLyser LT is intended for molecular biology applications and is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease.
