The rotary real-time PCR thermal cycler delivers 6-channel multiplex detection for clinical diagnostics and research workflows in infectious disease testing. Its centrifugal rotor design eliminates temperature gradient across wells, supporting reproducible Ct values run after run. QIAGEN's rotor-based platform is widely deployed in regulated and research laboratories for pathogen detection and viral load quantification.

Laboratories deploy this instrument for viral load monitoring, including HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C quantification, as well as respiratory pathogen panels covering SARS-CoV-2, influenza A/B, and RSV. The system also handles bacterial detection panels such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex identification and MRSA screening, making it a workhorse in clinical microbiology laboratories.

Beyond clinical diagnostics, the 6plex capability supports veterinary pathogen surveillance for avian influenza and foot-and-mouth disease, food microbiology testing for Salmonella and Listeria species, and pharmacogenomic SNP genotyping assays. Researchers apply it to gene expression analysis using QuantiTect primer assays and pathogen detection workflows using QuantiFast detection kits.

The instrument accepts both 72-well and 36-well rotors and supports reaction volumes from 10 to 50 ul. LED excitation combined with photomultiplier tube detection covers six fluorescent channels spanning FAM, JOE, ROX, and Cy5 dye spectra, enabling single-tube discrimination of multiple targets in one run.
