Rotor-Gene Q 5plex no PC

A rotary-type real-time PCR cycler from QIAGEN designed for rapid thermal cycling and real-time detection of PCR assays. The instrument uses an innovative rotary format achieving sample-to-sample temperature deviation of ±0.01°C with a temperature control capability of ±0.02°C. The temperature control range spans from ambient temperature to 99°C, with ramping speeds of 15°C/sec for heating and 20°C/sec for cooling.

Detection is performed via separate LEDs in a fixed single path, paired with a high-sensitivity PMT detector capable of amplifying a single photon. This simple single-path detection design eliminates fluorescence distortion, loss, or variation between samples. The system supports up to 6 channels with 365−680 nm excitation and 460−750 nm detection wavelengths. The 5plex configuration provides five channels (green, yellow, orange, red, crimson). Temperature control in 0.02°C increments enables High Resolution Melting (HRM) analysis.

Typical runtime is 40 cycles in 45−60 minutes. Rotor formats accommodate 36-well positions for 0.2 ml tubes, 72-well for 0.1 ml tube strips, 72-well for 0.1 ml Rotor-Disc tubes, and 100-well for 30 µl Rotor-Disc tubes.
