Rotor-Gene Q 2plex no PC

A rotary real-time PCR cycler from QIAGEN, configured for two-channel (2plex) fluorescence detection using green and yellow channels. The instrument is supplied without a PC and is designed for rapid thermal cycling and real-time detection of PCR assays in diagnostic and research workflows. According to an FDA Class 2 recall notice, Software version 2.3.4 was the subject of a correction related to LIMs export of calculated concentration results, with resolution provided by an upgrade to version 2.3.5.

Technical specifications include temperature uniformity of ±0.01°C and temperature control precision of ±0.02°C over a control range from ambient temperature to 99°C. Ramp rates are 15°C per second for heating and 20°C per second for cooling. Optical detection uses separate LEDs in a fixed single path with a high-sensitivity PMT detector. The rotor accommodates multiple formats: 36 wells for 0.2 ml tubes, 72 wells for 0.1 ml tube strips, 72 wells for 0.1 ml Rotor-Disc tubes, and 100 wells for 30 µl Rotor-Disc tubes. A typical run completes 40 cycles in 45–60 minutes.
